This award-winning brewery in Bloomfield, Connecticut, was outgrowing their 1,000 sf tap room and wanted to create a destination for people exploring regional breweries as well as provide an inviting, unique atmosphere for its loyal customers.

We transformed the adjacent 4,000 sf industrial space into a vibrant taproom, welcoming, and dynamic for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment. We used warm materials such as reclaimed bowling alley and birch plywood and provided natural daylighting through enormous roll-up doors. Steel plate wraps the bars as a counterpoint and emphasizes the industrial aesthetic. We designed custom rolling bar carts to allow for easy reconfiguration of the space and a large pivoting wall that provides acoustic control, the ability to create a semi-private event area, and a backdrop for the band. We also designed a custom 100+ fixture, three-dimensional lighting installation that spans a large area of the room designed to have flexible seating, a stage, or a dance floor.
