Frost Moon Mountain
For historic preservation, the decision was made to keep the barn uninsulated and unconditioned, allowing its rustic charm to be expressed. New additions to the barn are two gender-neutral accessible restrooms, a bar, a catering warming kitchen, an outdoor patio, and extensive accessibility and landscaping upgrades. We also reconstructed a dilapidated portion of the barn where farm equipment was once stored to house a vintage car collection that guests can rent. This project required a lot of consultants to get through permitting, including Act 250 (an intensive process that documents historical preservation measures, environmental impacts, and impacts on neighbors). Frost Moon was completed in 2024 and is now hosting weddings and other events at this historic, bucolic site.
