A two-story country home in the hilltowns of western Massachusetts was completely remodeled, inside and out, creating a Craftsman-styled residence.

Natural wood abounds outside, in a fitting palette of forest green and red cedar, evoking the setting of field and forest. Metal-clad windows with Arts-and-Crafts fenestration admit a flood of sunlight, and copper gutters complete the glow. The interior complements the first impression, with carefully trimmed wood beams and casings, a kitchen with stone countertops and stained-glass-fronted cabinetry, a sunny balustraded staircase, and wall surfaces in soothing shades.
