The barn on this historic property was under heavy disrepair, with a compromised silo and foundation. We assisted the owner of the historic property with plans for alterations and preservation measures necessary to renovate the barn and to accommodate a change of use to an event venue. The barn now houses a performance hall, a dojo and movement studio, media labs, business offices, practice rooms, art studios, and an apartment. Extensive effort has gone into preserving the character of this structure while updating to current energy efficiency standards, accessibility requirements, and life safety codes. Additional lodging, including the Blacksmith House, was developed for event guests as well as short-term rentals.
